After a year in the works, toUch Performance Art launched AcousticaElectronica at Oberon (Cambridge) in February. Now six months later, the show, combining classical music, dance and art into one huge immersion for an audience, is ready to go with a new structure and crew.
The city’s music community now has a niche night for pure electronica. Residing monthly at Om in Harvard Square, Sphere Boston captivates the ear with the genre’s most stunning sounds, showcasing at least four DJs surrounded by stellar lighting.

Underground or not, the “whomps” and “wobbles” of dubstep, a popular form of electronic music, are packing dance floors and selling out around the city. From jungle to tropical jungle, grimy to filthy, the genres and subgenres of dubstep are continuously reinvented as the scene grows.
Boston’s Together festival is on its way back, aiming to blow over last year’s. On its way to a full launch on Monday, April 18, the week-long series of events will be showcasing electronic music, art and technology through art installations, discussion panels, film screenings, technology demonstrations and evening shows of local, national and international musical talent.
“Electro, house and whateverthefuck else” says it straight in the promo. Residents Re-Psycle (Bud Regan) and tRick (Rick O’Halloran) throw Ill Spill, a Sunday monthly at the Enormous Room, to keep house music alive.

The Hard Rock’s Cavern Club space debuted its makeover last Friday at the official grand opening party of REWIRED, the new Hard Rock Boston night club.
For those who haven’t experienced Boston’s underground art and music community, now is the time. “Wish You Were Here,” the Together photography show, has brought the party to Pavement Coffeehouse. That’s right, a party in a coffeehouse.
