Blame it on the digital age. With technology, the production and distribution of music is instant through new programs, tools, apps, and platforms.
With flyers, event pages and download cards everywhere, the Together festival has now kicked in and blown minds after day one. It was no joke when Mayor Thomas M. Menino proclaimed Sunday, April 17, 2011 to be Together Boston Day in the city of Boston during the VIP event at the Foundation Room.
Boston’s Together festival is on its way back, aiming to blow over last year’s. On its way to a full launch on Monday, April 18, the week-long series of events will be showcasing electronic music, art and technology through art installations, discussion panels, film screenings, technology demonstrations and evening shows of local, national and international musical talent.
The first New England electronic music festival, Together, ran for one week beginning February 8. The festival, aimed at promoting dance and electronic music production, featured events including panels, workshops, film screenings, bands and DJs, and mainly took place at venues in the Boston and Cambridge areas.
